Unit Secretary - Emergency Department - 7a-3:30p
The Emergency Department Unit Secretary assists with the flow of patients in the Emergency Department. Work as a partner with other members of ED staff. Responsibilities include:
- Answering phones
- Contacting consult services
- Interacting with patients, families, and other CHA staff
- Stocking supplies
- Preparing for computer downtime and other duties as assigned
Able to work in a fast-paced, high stress area. Needs to be self-directed and personally responsible for the work that is done.
Qualifications/Experience:
- High School graduate
- Knowledge and comfort with electronic medical record
- Customer service experience and ability to work in a busy stressful environment
- Medical terminology and Emergency Department experience
- Previous Unit Secretary or Administrative Assistant Experience
