UNIT SECRETARY
Job Summary
This position is responsible for supporting the operations for the patient care unit through clerical duties and communications. This position serves as a central communication person for assistance in coordination of a fast-paced hospital unit, supporting patient care operations through effective communication, organization and clerical management.
Responsible for answering and directing calls and messages, collaboration with nursing staff, providers, support staff on the day-to-day of patient flow, and additional tasks or projects as needed.
Demonstrates strong multitasking abilities, attention to detail, professionalism, and the ability to prioritize in a dynamic healthcare environment while contributing to efficient workflow resulting in positive patient experiences.
This position requires full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of Blessing Hospital. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values while supporting the strategic plan, goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Process (PIP) at Blessing Hospital.
Education/Training/Experience
- Required High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
