Unit Manager, MRD – Mechanical Reduction Department

Sibanye-Stillwater is seeking an experienced, hands-on Unit Manager, MRD – Mechanical Reduction to lead mechanical reduction and processing operations at our precious metals recycling and refining facility in Fairless Hills, PA.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily mechanical reduction, material preparation, and processing operations
• Provide leadership, coaching, and development to production teams and supervisors
• Champion a strong, proactive safety culture
• Monitor and improve throughput, equipment performance, and operational efficiency
• Coordinate maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment reliability improvements
• Identify opportunities to improve production flow and mechanical processing performance
• Track production results, operational records, and key performance metrics
• Partner with Maintenance, Safety, Environmental, and Operations teams to achieve plant goals
• Evaluate equipment and processes to drive continuous improvement
• Build accountability and support a reliable, efficient, and high-performing operation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical processing, metals recycling, manufacturing, or a similar industrial environment
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in production operations
• Strong knowledge of mechanical equipment, material handling systems, and industrial processes
• Experience improving operational performance and equipment reliability
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a hands-on plant environment
