Mechanical Department Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Ventilation Department Manager to lead our mechanical engineering team, with a strong focus on industrial ventilation systems. This role involves technical leadership, project delivery, and team management to ensure high-quality solutions for complex industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of engineers, designers, and technical staff.
• Oversee the design of industrial ventilation, dust collection, HVAC, and process exhaust systems.
• Provide technical leadership and ensure high-quality engineering deliverables.
• Partner with project teams to successfully execute multidisciplinary projects.
• Establish department standards, best practices, and engineering processes.
• Support client relationships, proposals, and project estimating.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience in industrial ventilation, HVAC, or related mechanical systems.
• Proven leadership or department management experience.
• Knowledge of ACGIH, NFPA, ASHRAE, and other relevant design standards.
• Experience supporting industrial projects within manufacturing, chemical, pulp & paper, or similar environments.
• Proficiency with engineering design and simulation software.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
