Unit Manager Long Term Care

Ridgewood Terrace is seeking a dedicated and experienced Unit Manager to join our Long-Term Care team. The Unit Manager is responsible for providing clinical leadership, supervising nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident-centered care, and promoting a safe and supportive environment for residents, families, and team members. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with excellent clinical knowledge, communication skills, and a commitment to quality care and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day leadership and clinical oversight of the assigned resident care unit.Supervise and support Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nurse Aides (CNAs), and other interdisciplinary team members.Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and resident-centered care in accordance with legislation, professional standards, and organizational policies.Review and update resident care plans as needed and ensure timely documentation.Participate in quality improvement initiatives, audits, and infection prevention and control programs.Investigate and follow up on resident and family concerns, incidents, and complaints.Collaborate with physicians, allied health professionals, residents, and families to achieve optimal resident outcomes.Assist with coaching, and professional development.Promote compliance with applicable long-term care regulations, accreditation standards, and best practices.Support emergency preparedness and response activities as required.Other tasks as delegated. Qualifications Current license in good standing with the applicable nursing regulatory body.Registered Nurse (RN) designation preferred; LPN candidates with relevant management experience may be considered.Minimum of 3-5 years of nursing experience in long-term care, geriatric care, or a related healthcare setting preferred.Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, standards, and best practices.Demonstrated leadership, conflict resolution, and team-building skills.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.Current BLS certification.Must be able to participate in on-call rotation.
