Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to maintain high-quality resident care and efficient staffing practices.
- Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff while fostering a positive team culture.
- Manage staffing schedules and workflow to ensure appropriate unit coverage.
- Conduct staff training, competency evaluations, and performance coaching.
- Ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation, including MDS-related processes.
- Utilize PCC knowledge to support quality resident care and documentation practices.
- Assist with resident and family concerns, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and represent nursing leadership throughout the facility.
Qualifications
- Active Florida RN or LPN license in good standing.
- Minimum of two (2) years of long-term care, skilled nursing, or rehabilitation experience.
- Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Experience with PCC (PointClickCare) preferred.
- Commitment to delivering resident-centered care and promoting positive clinical outcomes.
