Unit Educator, Registered Nurse - NICU - Full Time - Days

Full-time, benefit-eligible position. 36 hours per week, day shift, onsite at Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital in the NICU department.

About the Role

Under the direction of the Nurse Manager and in collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nursing Development Educators, you will plan, implement, and evaluate educational and quality improvement activities on the nursing unit. The role involves modeling excellence in patient care through clinical practice, continuous quality improvement, and integrating new nursing knowledge into practice. You will adhere to all standards of nursing care and job description requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Equivalent of four years of clinical experience with the defined patient population preferred.
• Demonstrated interest and ability to teach patients, families, and co-workers.
• Leadership, strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility, self-directiveness, and initiative.

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN licensure required.
• Health care provider certification (BCLS) required.
