Staff Nurse (RN) NICU, Full-Time, Days
About the role
The Margaret M. and George A. Stephen Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Comer Children's Hospital is among the largest in the Midwest, with approximately 1,000 admissions every year. Our NICU features 47 designated tertiary care beds (Level III) and 18 convalescent (Level II) beds. Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) can be provided for up to three infants at a time by a special group of ECMO specialists who supplement the NICU nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Assumes primary responsibility and accountability for all patient care personally provided and that provided by those directly under her/his supervision.
- Manages patient-centered care that is outcome-directed, using patient centered care principles and professional nursing practice standards.
Requirements
- Graduate of an NLN accredited School of Nursing.
- Associate Degree in Nursing; BSN degree or higher preferred.
- Current Illinois RN license.
- BLS Certification.
Preferred Qualifications
- NICU RN Experience.
