About the role
Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital is hiring a Registered Nurse Unit Coordinator for the Intensive Care Unit. This is a Full Time Night (12-hr shift) position in Charlottesville, VA.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency in nursing practice for assigned specialty area and provides clinical leadership for the delivery of nursing care in a department.
- Under the direction of the department manager, leads safety and quality initiatives, focuses on and simplifies workflow, and contributes to the development of staff.
- Increases staff satisfaction and promotes excellent (Gold Standard) customer service.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Registered Nursing Experience in an ICU setting.
- Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) (required)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) (preferred)
- Certified Registered Nurse (RN) License (Required)
- BLS required within 90 days of hire.
- Professional Specialty Nursing Certification preferred.
- ACLS within 90 days of hire, preferred prior to hire.
- NIH certification within 6 months of hire required.
- 18 Months of acute care RN experience (required).
- Previous healthcare experience (required).
- 2 years of ICU specific experience (preferred).
- Stroke and Cardiac experience (preferred).
