About the role
This position involves supervising nursing staff, coordinating patient care, and ensuring staffing needs are met for 24-hour coverage.
Responsibilities
- Determine staffing schedules and assign patients based on acuity and staff skills.
- Act as a clinical consultant for patients, families, and staff.
- Participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing education, including mentorship and performance appraisals.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulations, and professional standards, and contribute to policy review.
- Serve as a liaison between staff and management, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide direct patient care when needed and oversee supply management and equipment inventory.
- Act in the Nurse Manager's absence and assume on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications
- Requires a nursing degree and current RN license.
- CPR certification and 3+ years of clinical experience.
- A Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.
- Supervisory experience and professional certification in the relevant specialty are required.
Work Environment
- Conducted in clinical and office settings.
- Involves walking, standing, bending, and lifting.
- Exposure to cleaning solutions and PPE requirements.
Serves all age groups with HIPAA Level 4 access. Focus on clinical excellence, team leadership, and compliance.
