Unit Coordinator

About the role

Provide administrative support and patient care coordination to ensure an organized, family-centered patient care environment. Conduct screenings for everyone entering the inpatient units and support all Children's staff in improving the health and well-being of all children through excellence in patient care, teaching, and research.

Responsibilities

• Support administrative tasks such as scheduling, data entry, and communication with families and visitors.
• Conduct screenings for all individuals entering inpatient units to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Coordinate patient care activities to maintain an efficient and organized environment.
• Provide exceptional customer service to families and visitors, ensuring their needs are met promptly and courteously.
• Collaborate with Children's staff to enhance patient care, teaching, and research initiatives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience working with diverse populations.
• Non-sedentary work requiring mobility throughout various areas.

Qualifications

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
• Two (2) or more years of experience in direct customer interaction situations.
• Certificate in Medical Terminology or equivalent.
• Familiarity with other cultures and bilingual skills are highly desirable.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Pay

$21.64 - $32.45 per hour

Schedule

Work is non-sedentary in nature and during the scheduled hours of work, the employee may be required to mobilize work in various areas.
