About the role
Assists in providing care and support to patients by performing various tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and stocking supplies.
Responsibilities
- Maintains cleanliness of the unit by regularly cleaning, disinfecting, and organizing toys, surfaces, and equipment per hospital policy.
- Stocks and restocks supplies in patient rooms and common areas as directed by supervisor, charge nurse, or manager.
- Runs errands for the unit, such as picking up supplies from Central Distribution or delivering/picking up other items as needed or delegated.
- Assists manager with various office tasks, including filing, sorting, and copying.
- Breaks down rooms after discharges.
- Checks hallways for wheelchairs, wagons, and O2 tanks and returns them to the proper storage area on the unit.
- Assists with special office projects as delegated.
Requirements
- High school diploma preferred.

Physical Requirements
- Occasionally: Bend/twist, exposure to blood and/or bodily fluids, communicable diseases and/or pathogens, computer skills, lifting/carrying 0–40 lbs, loud noises, problem-solving, pushing/pulling 0–100 lbs, sitting, squat/kneel.
- Frequently: Interpreting data, patient equipment, standing, walking.
- Continuously: Audible speech, hand use (grasping, gripping, turning), hearing acuity, repetitive hand/arm use, seeing (far/near).
