Hourly pay: $26.40 per hour. Benefits are provided in accordance with the location’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Schedule
Approximately 6:00 pm – 4:30 am, Monday – Friday plus weekends.
About the role
The Cook will accurately and efficiently fulfill prep lists, tasks, and food preparation for various meal periods including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special/catered events.
Responsibilities
- Clock in and out for workday and breaks.
- Provide the highest quality of service in accordance with ISS/Guckenheimer and client standards.
- Utilize food preparation procedures following current federal, state, and local guidelines to ensure high-quality food service.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of cooking and prep techniques as required by your work assignment.
- Execute NetMenu recipe preparation of food items as directed by production sheets and/or leadership.
- Maintain kitchen organization and cleanliness to provide a safe environment for all employees and guests.
- Follow Workplace Safety, Food Safety, HACCP, and internal audit guidelines, policies, and SOPs daily.
- Clean and sanitize work areas and equipment in compliance with ISS/Guckenheimer and government regulatory rules.
- Notify management of any ingredient discrepancies, food/equipment safety issues, or other situations requiring attention.
- Attend all scheduled meetings.
- Work safely with large-volume culinary equipment including slicers, mixers, food processors, blenders, and choppers.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of professional cooking experience or equivalent education.
- Ability to work in a standing position for long periods (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and frequently lift up to 35 pounds.
- Willingness to use team lifts, transportation carts, or other assistance for heavy loads.
- Proper dress according to the dress code.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet time deadlines during peak periods.
