Responsibilities
- Maintain the accuracy and completeness of pipeline case and litigation records in Salesforce, including case contacts, upcoming due dates, and other background data on litigation.
- Join US commercial team pipeline meetings and track the progress of investment opportunities through the pipeline.
- Audit data on a regular basis, identify and correct missing data using control reports and Quip forms.
- Request, assemble, organize, and upload diligence documents for potential investments during underwriting review, as well as case filings and related documents for litigation in the investment portfolio into iManage, the document management system.
- Conduct legal and factual research: pull dockets, court filings, articles, and other items for investment team members; assist on investment-specific research projects as necessary.
- Administer the execution, distribution, and electronic archiving of legal documents, including NDAs and deal closing documents via DocuSign.
- Enter financial and ownership data into Salesforce at investment execution and prepare follow-on funding requests for investments requiring ongoing funding, bill collection, and review as necessary.
- Participate in Underwriting Paralegal team projects to standardize and improve efficiencies of underwriting practices globally.
- Document underwriting processes and procedures.
- Maintain SharePoint.
Requirements
- Paralegal certification or college degree plus equivalent experience.
- Experience and knowledge of the State and Federal Court system and filings.
- Understanding of legal procedures, terminology, and documentation.
- 2-4 years of experience in a fast-paced litigation firm in a role that includes docket tracking and case file management.
- Experience with PACER, Bloomberg Law, Lexis, and similar legal applications.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint; Excel skills are a plus.
- Prior experience with Salesforce and/or iManage is desirable.
- Familiarity with running redlines, conforming pages, and editing documents in Adobe is a plus.
