About the role
Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Underwriter on our Sompo Pro team. Our Sompo Pro Liability team offers diverse capabilities targeted at providing Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers Errors & Omissions Liability coverages. We work through a network of Retail & Wholesale brokers who share our commitment to long-term partnerships built on a strong service proposition.

What you’ll be doing
- Underwriting of Miscellaneous Professional Liability, Technology Errors and Omissions, Cyber Liability, Media Liability, Architects and Engineers Professional Liability, and Insurance Agents and Brokers
- Maintain and enhance existing broker relationships as well as identify and develop new relationships within the Southeast region with both retail and wholesale partners
- Develop and execute marketing plan aimed at retaining existing business and producing new opportunities that fit with in the Sompo Pro division risk appetite
- Participate in account discussions while exercising discretion and independent judgment in the analysis and evaluation of risk
- Effectively interact, communicate and negotiate with all levels of external and/or internal business partners
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred
- Established relationships with Retail or Wholesale Network
- Minimum 2 years of Professional lines Underwriting Experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Ability to travel approximate 10% of the time
