Duties
- Work with construction manager for in-field project set up
- Lead and direct 4-man crew to safely complete projects
- Select and implement appropriate maintenance of traffic signage and follow safety precautions
- ID potential safety hazards
- Create a corrective action plan when safety hazards are recognized
- Administer monthly safety meetings
- Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications
- Understand as-built drawings, roadway plans, and create legible field sketches
- Possess leadership and mentoring skills
- Ability to perform routine equipment maintenance tasks
- Possess a mechanical aptitude
- Experience placing underground cable a plus
Qualifications
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- Minimum of 4 years of underground excavation and shoring experience
- Operate and maintain mini excavators
- Ability to obtain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical card for Commercial Motor Vehicle operation within 30 days
- Have a current Commercial Driver’s License
- OSHA certification a plus
