Unarmed Security Officer / Alternative Transport Driver

About the role

Steadfast Security Solutions LLC is seeking full-time Alternative Transport Drivers. These drivers will be registered as Unarmed Security Officers with Virginia DCJS and will be stationed at our Wytheville, Virginia location. They will be dispatched to various locations within the Mt. Rogers catchment area to pick up TDO persons and transport them to specific facilities throughout Virginia.

Responsibilities

- Valid state motor vehicle operator's license required - Must have a clean driving record and bring your DMV record to the interview - Must pass a background investigation - Strong conflict management skills to handle challenging situations - Able to pass random drug testing - Safely transport TDO persons to designated locations - Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle - Conduct pre and post trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition and all equipment is in vehicle - Load and unload cargo as necessary - must be able to lift 50 lbs - Maintain accurate records of completed transports, including receipts and signatures - Communicate with dispatch to receive transport instructions and updates - Follow established routes and schedules to ensure timely transports - CPR and First Aid certification is desirable or will be trained

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Transport Driver or in a similar position preferred - CIT Training preferred, training will be provided - Familiarity with security procedures is a plus - 1 year Unarmed Security and/or Transport experience
