Security Officer - Unarmed Driver

About the role

As an unarmed Security Officer Driver in Oglesby, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This part-time role offers flexibility to build a schedule that works for you using our Claim a Shift platform. The position requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service at a technology, media, and telecommunications location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and notification procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, technology areas, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, assisting with visitor direction, campus information, and adherence to site-specific entry procedures.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

• Day shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
