Security Officer - Unarmed Vehicle Driver

About the role

As a Security Officer Unarmed Driver in Peoria, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Driving Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will engage professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment through clear communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and report observations.
• Monitor access to the facility by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors according to site procedures, and documenting entries and exits as required.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders in accordance with established procedures.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation while communicating relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site personnel.

Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $18.50 / Hour

Schedule: Monday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Tuesday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Friday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, Saturday 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM
