Ultrasound Technologist (Temporary)

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
  • Aid radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
  • Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
  • Maintain patient well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical problems promptly.
  • Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information according to company policies and legal requirements.
  • Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with company policies and any legal requirements.
  • Show respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
  • Respond to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
  • Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
  • Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Requirements

  • Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
  • Past SPI exam.
  • Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible (preferred).
  • BLS certification required.

Pay

Pay Range: $25.00 – $40.00 per hour
