Performs ultrasound examinations according to physicians' orders, utilizing a variety of sophisticated ultrasound equipment, taking into account individual patient's special or age-related needs.
Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with physicians' orders.
- Operate sophisticated ultrasound equipment.
- Consider individual patient's special or age-related needs during examinations.
Requirements
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirement.
- Board eligible for certification at American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- Upon hire: Oregon Sonographer License or Oregon Sonographer Temporary License.
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
- Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from ARDMS.
- Upon hire: New graduates must be board eligible and obtain ARDMS certification within 6 months of hire.
- Upon hire: New graduates must have OBMI temporary license and obtain permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Qualifications
Required
- Education to meet certification, license, or registration requirements.
- Board eligibility for ARDMS certification.
Preferred
- 2 years of clinical experience in diagnostic ultrasound.
- 2 years of OBGYN sonography experience (for requisitions 612-71875, 612-71877, 612-71878, 612-71882, 612-71883, 612-71884).

Pay
The pay range for this position is $46.81 - $72.66 per hour. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
