Ultrasound Technologist Float Pool

About the Role

This position is part of the Imaging Float Pool, requiring flexibility to work across multiple facilities on a self-scheduled basis. Caregivers commit to a minimum of four shifts within each 8-week period, including at least one hard-to-fill shift (weekends, holidays, nights, on-call). Responsibilities include maintaining competencies across sites, working at a minimum of two facilities per period, and providing diagnostic medical ultrasound services.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures in various departments
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging
• Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to protocols
• Work collaboratively with healthcare teams across multiple sites

Qualifications & Skills

• Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS), with successful completion of relevant registries beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, vascular)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Preferred: 1+ years of experience

• Manual dexterity for manipulating delicate equipment
• Capability to lift, transfer, and transport patients and equipment
• Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate busy environments
