About the role
This role is part of an Imaging Float Pool, requiring flexibility to work across multiple facilities and adapt to staffing needs. Caregivers self-schedule shifts on a first-come basis, committing to a minimum of four shifts within each 8-week period, including at least one hard-to-fill shift (e.g., weekends, holidays, nights, on-call). You will maintain competencies across sites and work at least two different facilities per period. The position offers a 10% pay premium plus shift differentials.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assess complex ultrasound equipment with manual dexterity
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and visitors, especially during emergencies
- Assist with patient transfers and transport, including lifting and maneuvering heavy items
- Navigate busy environments, often standing for extended periods
- Perform accurate documentation and computer tasks related to patient care
Requirements
- Registered with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) in a relevant specialty beyond physics (OB, abdominal, neuro, breast, pediatric, vascular)
- Health Services BCLS certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
- Preferred: 1+ years of experience
Pay
Hourly rate ranges from $29.14 to $44.94, depending on experience. This position includes a 10% pay premium plus shift differentials.
