About the role
The Registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. They demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles and perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative.
Responsibilities
- Performs ultrasound procedures for diagnostic purposes under the guidance of a physician.
- Assists with obstetric procedures such as chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
- Uses electronic medical databases like Epic to manage patient information.
- Collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient care coordination.
Requirements
- Completion of an education program meeting ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination.
- National Registered Technologist - Sonography certification from ARDMS.
- National Provider BLS certification from American Heart Association.
Qualifications
- Experience in assisting with obstetric procedures such as CVS, PUBS, and amniocentesis.
- Experience with electronic medical databases like Epic.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound principles and techniques.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions based on clinical judgment.
- Effective communication skills to interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Pay
The base pay range for this position is $41.65 - $64.66 per hour. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
Schedule
This position is part-time and works on a day shift.
