Responsibilities
- Perform Diagnostic Radiologist Technologist and computed Tomography examinations.
- This is inclusive of all clerical duties involved, (RPMS, EHR, training and PACS systems).
- AII quality control of patient demographics and Imagery performed.
- The technologist shall independently perform Computed Tomography examinations.
- Medical Imaging Technologist may be required to work beyond the scheduled cover hours due to emergency cases.
- Complete CSU mandatory training monthly or as needed.
- Medical Imaging Services maybe on-site or on-call services.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Certification from radiology organization such as Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RMDS), Sonography Credential from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and higher education degree to support certification requirements.
- No less than 2 years’ experience working in hospital setting.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- Image Gently and Image Wisely certificate/training.
- Provide immunization records as proof of immunity or disease prior to the performance of work.
Skills
Be sensitive to the unique culture factors of the people treated at CSU, which may include use of an interpreter as necessary in communication of services being rendered. Unique cultural factors that may contribute to the patients’ treatment include: use of their language communications; village and tribal customs; use of traditional healers; isolation; housing conditions and lack of resources.
Knowledge
Technologists shall be clean and neat in appearance and comply with the Service Unit dress code for professional Radiologic Technologist and present themselves in a professional manner commensurate with the nature of the profession and line of work.
