Ultrasound Technologist

Responsibilities

  • Perform high quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policy and procedure manuals, complying with all applicable federal, state, local and other regulatory requirements.
  • Aid radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures if needed.
  • Understand the methods used to generate ultrasound data and the theory and operation of the instruments that detect, display, and store the acoustic information generated in clinical examinations.
  • Maintain patient's well-being during exams; recognize and address patient discomfort or medical problems appropriately.
  • Safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
  • Safeguard any on-site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Interact professionally and respectfully with patients, guests, and colleagues.
  • Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

Qualifications

  • Completed Ultrasound Technologist program with diploma.
  • Passed SPI exam.
  • Currently ARDMS certified or ARDMS Registry eligible (preferred).
  • Holds current BLS certification.
