Ultrasound Technologist
About the role
Ultrasound Technologist demonstrates competency in performing all ultrasound exams, ensuring proficiency in producing technical and diagnostic scans for interpretation. Positions patient and equipment and produces an appropriate recording. The Ultrasound Technician is responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.
Responsibilities
- Perform all ultrasound exams with technical and diagnostic proficiency
- Position patients and equipment to produce appropriate recordings
- Process and transmit images to PACS
Requirements
- RDMS (ARDMS) or S (ARRT) certification in at least one body or region required within 90 days of hire and maintain
- Graduate of an accredited ultrasound program or current certification as identified above and graduation within 90 days of hire
- Previous experience preferred
- Current BCLS certificate required upon hire and maintain current
- Proficient computer skills
Pay
A reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $39.40 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined based on factors including skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
