About the Role
The sonographer performs a variety of diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and small parts, and assists radiologists during invasive procedures.
- Conduct abdominal Doppler studies, Nuchal Translucency, neonatal cranial exams
- Specialize in certifications such as Breast, Vascular, Neurosonography, MSK, Pediatrics, Fetal Echo, or Neonatal for advanced roles
- Make clinical judgments based on patient assessments, medical records, and physician input
Requirements
- Successful completion of an ultrasound training program
- Eligibility for ARDMS certification
- Upon hiring: National Registered Technologist - Sonography or equivalent certification
- BLS certification
- Minimum two years of sonography experience
