Duties & Responsibilities
- Demonstrates competency, individually and as part of the multidisciplinary team, in performing clinical care and assessment of all patient populations
- Maintains workstations and equipment
- Greets patients and confirms patient identification
- Affords assistance in the ordering of supplies
- Enhances professional growth
- Preserves and protects patient rights to confidentiality
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned or requested
Requirements
- Completion of a one- or two-year program or certified training course, followed by certification examination
- Ultrasound training, involving new diagnostic equipment and techniques is received on the job
- Registry with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) is required
- Must be proficient in the English language
