Ultrasound Tech - Midtown

About the role

Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Responsibilities

• Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices.

Qualifications

• Education: Approved CAAHEP Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or approved Sonography Program by the ARRT.
• Required Work Experience: No experience required.
• Preferred Work Experience: 1 year of experience.
• Licenses and Certifications: ARDMS/ARRT registry eligible, BCLS - Basic Life Support upon hire, ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography licensure requirement for Breast Ultrasound can be met with registration through ARRT (BS), or ARDMS.
