About the role
Our client is seeking an experienced UH-60L Operational Flight Trainer (OFT) Maintenance Technician to support a high-priority aviation training program. This opportunity may be aligned at the Technician II or Technician III level based on experience. You will work directly with advanced aviation training systems while supporting an important customer mission.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and sustainment operations to ensure UH-60L OFT availability for training
- Provide onsite maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of simulator components and parts
- Perform scheduled, preventive, and corrective maintenance on Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS) and Government Furnished Property
- Maintain supported equipment in Fully Mission Capable (FMC) condition in accordance with applicable requirements
- Perform maintenance in accordance with applicable technical manuals, preventive maintenance checklists, technical data, and established commercial maintenance practices
- Implement and support Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) requirements for supported TADSS
- Maintain operator and maintenance manuals, technical documentation, schematics, procedures, spare parts, and required tools
- Coordinate maintenance activities with customer and government representatives to support training, exercise, and testing schedules
- Perform corrective maintenance and repairs in accordance with documented scheduled maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures
- Identify and report facility conditions that may negatively impact simulator equipment
- Ensure maintenance activities do not interfere with scheduled training unless authorized by the appropriate customer representative
- Log work orders and maintenance activity accurately in the Information System Tool Suite (ISTS)
- Maintain accurate and complete maintenance documentation
Requirements
- Prior military experience
- TADSS maintenance, troubleshooting, and technical instruction experience
- Experience working from TADSS maintenance manuals, technical documentation, and maintenance procedures
- Experience supporting aviation flight simulators and aviation TADSS
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal leadership and customer management
- Ability to independently plan, coordinate, and manage maintenance schedules
- Valid passport and driver's license
- Flexibility to support an extended onsite assignment
Pay
Compensation up to $125,000, based on experience and level.
