Transdev in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a B-Level Maintenance Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain both electric vehicle (EV) and diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment.
About the role
As a Maintenance Technician II, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. This position is subject to a Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs and replacements on EV and diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.
- Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.
- Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize EV and diesel engine performance.
- Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for EV and diesel engines.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on EV and diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.
- Other duties as required.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience as an Electric Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic.
- ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided.
- Mechanic’s Tool Set.
- Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
- Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
- Be eligible to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Physical Requirements
The essential functions of this position require the ability to:
- Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions—100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
- Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces.
- Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level.
- Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes, and noise.

Pay
Starting pay $24.35 per hour with progression to $30.75 over 3 years (with Master ASE).
Schedule
Four 10-hour shifts.
