UC Assistant Teacher Bilingual

About the Role

The UC Assistant Teacher is responsible for facilitating the delivery of six hours of culturally diverse structured education, Monday through Friday, and aiding the UC Teacher in classroom management and instruction. This includes administering initial education assessments, developing educational goals in conjunction with the UC Teacher, and completing Progress Reports. The Assistant Teacher will also contribute to curriculum development, classroom coverage, completion of UC Portal documentation, and maintenance of UC paper and electronic records.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate six hours of culturally diverse structured education daily, Monday through Friday.
• Assist the UC Teacher in classroom management and instruction.
• Administer initial education assessments and develop educational goals in collaboration with the UC Teacher.
• Complete Progress Reports and upload all required documentation to the UAC Portal.
• Ensure compliance with ORR policies and procedures.
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and provide classroom coverage as needed.
• Maintain UC paper and electronic records.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM. Saturday and Sunday off.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate's Degree.
• Experience working in a classroom or providing education.
• Bilingual (Spanish / English).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or a related field.
• Certification by a relevant governing authority.
• Teaching English as a Second Language certification.
