Duties/Responsibilities
- Act as the primary UAT liaison within the Product Department to work closely with key stakeholders to ensure systems meet business needs and client objectives.
- Work with stakeholders to create detailed UAT test plans and cases based on specific insurance workflows, regulatory requirements, and product use cases.
- Conduct manual testing of insurance applications.
- Validate that data flows through systems correctly and complies with industry standards.
- Focus on testing workflows for complex insurance processes.
- Provide clear feedback and regular updates to Product team leadership on testing progress, risks, and issues affecting the alignment of systems with product requirements.
- Assist with training the product team on new functionality related to insurance products.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Strong understanding of insurance industry, including insurance products, workflows, and regulations.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in insurance-specific workflows, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and documenting issues clearly.
- Ability to escalate issues when necessary and suggest improvements to streamline insurance processes.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, especially in a fast-paced product development environment.
Required Education And Experience
- 2+ years of experience in the property and casualty insurance industry.
- PREFERRED: Bachelor’s Degree.
- Understanding of homeowners insurance products including coverages and forms, workflows, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience in insurance product management is a plus.
- Familiarity with test case management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and a solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies, particularly in a regulated industry.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Pay
Starting at $65,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
