We are looking for an outstanding Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our award-winning Mead Vet Centre as a Twilight RVN, offering a 4-day workweek.
About the role
You’ll work in a state-of-the-art facility with a varied caseload, including orthopaedics, TPLOs, fracture repairs, complex medical cases, laparoscopic spays, and more. The role allows you to focus on your areas of interest—whether surgery, wards, anaesthesia, or intensive care—while working alongside certificate-holding vets (orthopaedics, ECC, exotics, and internal medicine) and a supportive team. No reception duties are required, enabling you to focus on clinical skills.
Our equipment includes a CT scanner (incoming), digital X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, laser, endoscope, laparoscopic equipment, in-house lab, multiparameter monitors, syringe drivers, and drip pumps.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for a diverse caseload, including surgical, medical, and emergency cases
- Assist with advanced procedures such as orthopaedics, TPLOs, and laparoscopic spays
- Support clinical coaching opportunities for nursing and support teams
- Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) and career progression
Requirements
- Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) qualification
- Experience or interest in twilight/evening shifts
- Enthusiasm for clinical development and learning
Benefits
- Salary up to £36,000, dependent on experience
- 4-day workweek with 1:5 weekends (time off in lieu for weekends worked)
