TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowship Program for Researchers from Developing Countries 2025

Applications for the 2025 TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowship Program are now being accepted. The Fellowship is available to young scientists from developing nations (other than India) who want to conduct postdoctoral research in cutting-edge fields of science and technology where facilities are available in Indian Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) institutes and laboratories. Educational Resources The TWAS-CSIR In India, Postdoctoral Fellowships Can Be Held In CSIR Research Labs And Institutes For a Minimum Of Six Months And a Maximum Of Twelve Months. It will not be possible to transfer the monthly stipend into foreign cash. Additionally, recipients of fellowships are eligible for housing subsidies. Biological Sciences ALSO READ: Fully Funded KSJ Fellowship Program in the USA 2025-26 Eligibility Requirements for TWAS-CSIR Postgraduate Fellowship ➡️Be a maximum age of 45 years on 31 December of the application year. ➡️Be nationals of a developing country (other than India). ➡️Hold a PhD degree in a field of science or technology. ➡️Must not hold any visa for temporary or permanent residency in India or any developed country. ➡️Be regularly employed in a developing country and hold a research assignment. ➡️Be accepted at a CSIR laboratory/institution and provide an official acceptance letter from the host institution. N.B. Requests for acceptance must be directed to the chosen CSIR host institution(s), with a copy to the CSIR contact person. This will allow CSIR to monitor requests and offer support or assistance in finding suitable host institution(s), if necessary; ➡️Provide evidence of proficiency in English if medium of education was not English; ➡️Provide evidence that s/he will return to her/his home country on completion of the fellowship; ➡️Not take up other assignments during the period of her/his fellowship; ➡️Be financially responsible for any accompanying family members. Physics Application for Fellowship ➡️The acceptance letter from a CSIR institution must be sent to CSIR and TWAS at the time of application or, at the latest, before the deadline. The application will not be taken into consideration for selection if it is not accepted in advance. ➡️The only way to apply for the TWAS-CSIR Postdoctoral Fellowship Program is to use the online portal.
