Turning CNC Utility Operator
Overview
Waters Corporation is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Global Machining Operations team. This position will work in a large, modern 50,000 square-foot Machining/Manufacturing facility equipped with over 90 advanced CNC machines and technologies. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a machining environment and possess strong manual and computer skills.
Responsibilities
- Under direct supervision, follow written processes and learn to operate a variety of CNC machines after completing material movement tasks.
- Set-up and operate secondary equipment and perform additional tasks as needed within the department.
- Inspect completed materials using visual and hand inspection tools, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and drop dial indicators.
- Interact with a variety of personnel in a manufacturing environment, including shift changes.
- Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Vocational trades school, high school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: 1-3 years in a Machining Environment.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 8 hours/day, lift up to 25 lbs., bend at the waist, pick up items from the floor, and perform hand dexterity tasks.
