Turning CNC Utility Operator

Overview

Waters Corporation is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join their Global Machining Operations team. This position will work in a large, modern 50,000 square-foot Machining/Manufacturing facility equipped with over 90 advanced CNC machines and technologies. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in a machining environment and possess strong manual and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Under direct supervision, follow written processes and learn to operate a variety of CNC machines after completing material movement tasks.
• Set-up and operate secondary equipment and perform additional tasks as needed within the department.
• Inspect completed materials using visual and hand inspection tools, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and drop dial indicators.
• Interact with a variety of personnel in a manufacturing environment, including shift changes.
• Report any safety or maintenance concerns to management immediately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and adhere to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Education: Vocational trades school, high school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 1-3 years in a Machining Environment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for 8 hours/day, lift up to 25 lbs., bend at the waist, pick up items from the floor, and perform hand dexterity tasks.
• Skills: Basic algebra/Arithmetic, Computer Skills, Communication Skills, Follow safety requirements, Positive Attitude, Reliable Team Player.
