TS SCI w/ CI Poly Cleared Sr Devops Engineer
Our client, a leader in the HCM space, is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a long-term contract with a strong likelihood of extension. This individual will work a hybrid schedule out of Reston, VA.
About the role
Responsible for deploying, securing, and maintaining the core developer infrastructure that supports federal cloud environments. The Senior DevOps Engineer will partner with cloud engineering and security teams to automate infrastructure deployments, manage enterprise development toolchains, and ensure all environments meet federal security and compliance standards.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, secure, and maintain core developer infrastructure for federal cloud environments
- Automate infrastructure deployments using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Manage enterprise development toolchains
- Ensure environments meet federal security and compliance standards
- Support AWS cloud environments, including IAM, networking, encryption, and storage services
- Deploy and administer Kubernetes environments and containerized applications
- Implement CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Manage GitHub Enterprise and J-Frog Artifactory Server/Xray
- Implement STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, FIPS, or other federal security standards
- Support enterprise developer tools such as Git-based source control, artifact repositories, or vulnerability scanning platforms
- Script using Python for automation and administration tasks
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or Platform Engineering
- Strong experience with Terraform and Terragrunt for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management, automation, and Linux administration
- Experience supporting AWS cloud environments
- Experience deploying and administering Kubernetes environments and containerized applications
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Strong Linux administration experience (RHEL, Amazon Linux, or similar)
- Experience implementing federal security standards such as STIGs, CIS Benchmarks, or FIPS
- TS SCI w/ CI Poly clearance and US Citizenship required

- Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or similar
Pay
The expected hourly rate range for this role is $67.5–97.5 per hour. The posted range is an estimate; the actual compensation offer will be based on the candidate’s experience, skills, and qualifications and will be in line with internal equity.
