DevOps Software Engineer - TS/SCI Cleared
About the role
The DevOps Software Engineer will contribute to mission-critical capabilities alongside a collaborative, innovative, and growth-oriented team. The role supports a 10-year program supporting the DOMEX Data Discovery Platform (D3P) Modernization effort.
Responsibilities
- Deploy, triage, and maintain a production big-data pipeline built on Kubernetes, Elasticsearch, and Kafka
- Enhance and maintain CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation to accelerate development and improve reliability
- Design and support scalable, redundant infrastructure across physical and virtual environments
- Use Helm to configure Kubernetes deployments for new features and evolving requirements
- Partner with Systems Engineers to architect solutions for new capabilities
- Contribute technical input to engineering documentation, diagrams, and models
- Participate in Agile release planning, scrums, design sessions, bug triage, and related team activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of relevant experience; 8+ years with a Master’s
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI with Polygraph
- Strong Linux proficiency
- Hands-on experience with containers and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD orchestration and GitLab
- Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Logstash, and Kibana
Qualifications
- You’re enthusiastic, collaborative, and comfortable working with teammates across a range of technical backgrounds
- Experience operating systems at scale
- Development experience (Bash, PowerShell, SALT, Python, Groovy, Java, etc.)
- Experience supporting enterprise or production systems
- Familiarity with: Kafka or other messaging systems (AMQP, JMS), Kubernetes monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana), GPU-based Kubernetes, SALT for deployment automation, Helm / Helmfile, Nexus

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this job level is $107,900.00 - $195,050.00. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
