About the role
Support the deployment of systems and capabilities centered on a comprehensive motion imagery software suite as a Systems Engineer (DevOps). You will operate within a non-internet accessible on-prem hybrid environment built primarily on Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Provide a range of DevOps skills, including development and scripting (e.g., Bash, Python, Java, C#).
- Leverage Linux OS and systems engineering experience.
- Utilize source code management tools (Git, etc.) and artifact repositories (Nexus/Artifactory, container registries).
- Work with automation tools such as Ansible, Jenkins, and Rundeck.
- Use build/packaging tools like Gradle, Maven, and Poetry.
- Employ DevSecOps principles, including strict configuration management, configuration-as-code, and continuous delivery.
- Build, secure, and operate containers in a dynamic environment.
- Work in a Kubernetes-based environment, including:
- Understanding how Kubernetes works.
- Using and/or administering Kubernetes clusters.
- Building and deploying workloads using Helm.
- Apply knowledge of container and Linux host networking.
- Work with Apache Kafka and the Elastic stack.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational, coordination, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
- Solve complex problems in dynamic environments.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance (required).
- Five or more years of related DevOps engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s or Technology degree in Engineering or a related field, OR equivalent four years of job-related experience, OR a Master's degree with three or more years of job-related experience.
- US Citizenship (required).
- On-site work at the customer location in McLean, VA.

Pay
The likely salary range for this position is $153,000 - $207,000. Salary will be set based on experience, geographic location, and possibly contractual requirements.
