Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice on trust and estate planning, wealth management, and related tax matters.
- Draft, review, and revise wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning documents.
- Oversee all aspects of trust and estate administration, including probate proceedings, estate tax returns, and fiduciary accountings.
- Advise clients on strategies for minimizing estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer taxes.
- Handle complex legal issues related to 1031 exchanges, fiduciary duties, and wealth preservation strategies.
- Stay updated on current laws and regulations related to trust and estate planning and administration.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys, paralegals, and other legal professionals to provide comprehensive legal services to our clients.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admitted to practice law in the state.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in trust and estate law, with a strong focus on estate planning, trust administration, and probate.
- Extensive knowledge of estate, gift, and generation-skipping transfer tax laws.
- Experience with 1031 exchanges and wealth management strategies.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and software.
- Demonstrated commitment to providing high-quality legal services to clients.
- Strong ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
