Job Details
- Provide comprehensive legal counsel on all aspects of trust and estate law, including estate planning, estate administration, and probate matters.
- Draft, review, and revise various legal documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.
- Represent clients in probate and surrogate court, handling estate administration, and trust termination.
- Collaborate with tax professionals to develop tax-efficient estate plans.
- Provide legal advice to trustees and beneficiaries regarding trust interpretation, administration, and disputes.
- Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect estate planning and probate law.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school is required.
- Must possess a license to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Trust and Estate Attorney.
- Proven experience in estate administration.
- Excellent knowledge of trust and estate law, probate procedures, and tax implications of estate planning.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve conflicts in a professional manner.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters in clear, understandable terms.
