About the role
This office-based position provides distinctive customer service to external customers, supports the outside sales force, and collaborates with internal teams across multiple departments. The role spans pre-sale to post-sale support, requiring regular, predictable on-site attendance with eligibility for up to one remote workday per week, subject to business needs and departmental guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to in-bound calls and emails from customers (external and internal) and the field sales force in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
- Provide inventory availability to customers and accurately reserve available stock items for efficient order fulfillment.
- Enter customer orders into the company order management system, ensuring accuracy of price and item details in compliance with customer purchase orders.
- Prepare and submit production requests for out-of-stock and/or custom equipment.
- Consistently adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with external customers and field sales representatives.
- Interact and communicate effectively with internal departments (e.g., Traffic, Parts, Service, Warranty, Credit, Demand Planning) to resolve customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of available products and services through company training and resources.
- Perform core responsibilities through regular in-person collaboration, including meetings, team discussions, and cross-functional coordination.
- Collaborate with team members and leadership in a shared work environment to support innovation, decision-making, problem-solving, and operational effectiveness.
- Maintain a consistent on-site presence to support day-to-day business needs, including scheduled meetings and real-time collaboration.
- Meet regularly with your manager in-person to align on workload, priorities, performance, and professional development.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required; college degree with an emphasis in business, customer relations, or related experience preferred.
- One or more years of related experience in a professional customer service environment.
- Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Positive, collaborative attitude; team player.
- Strong organization and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a demanding work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and resourcefulness.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.
- Knowledge of basic delivery and transportation processes is a plus.
Schedule
8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
