Truck Sourcing Specialist
About the Role
As a Freight Sourcing Coordinator, you will perform moderately complex activities that ensure efficient transportation of materials and products from origin to destination. You will participate in identifying and selecting the most appropriate and cost-effective transportation solutions.
Responsibilities
- Control and track the transport of critical materials.
- Apply a general comprehension of transportation and logistics practices to assist in negotiating freight prices and contract terms.
- Update transportation websites and databases for contracts, freight rates, estimates, insurance, and customer information.
- Analyze current transportation operations to identify process and cost improvement opportunities.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more complex issues as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of related work experience.
Position Details
Location: Wayzata, MN or Wichita, KS. Relocation assistance is not provided for this role.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Some weekend events and on-call work may be required.
Minnesota Sick and Safe Leave: Accrual of one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year unless otherwise provided by law.
Pay
The expected salary for this position is $70,000–$85,000, depending on factors such as location, certifications, education, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award based on company and personal performance.
