Truck Fleet Dispatcher (Nights)

This role is responsible for dispatching driver schedules/routes and working with customers and warehouse operations to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient operations, while providing a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for dispatching driver schedules/routes for load pick-up and deliveries.
• Ensure timely follow-up, resolution, and response to any route planning or delivery timing issues.
• Maintain and update the department dispatch/communication log/software according to department procedures.
• Review, verify, and process driver delivery paperwork.
• Ensure adherence to company safety, sanitation policies, and DOT rules and regulations.
• Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and drivers.
• Assist with coordinating delivery changes, monitoring on-board computers, log reports, and maintenance schedules.
• Work with the Transportation/Logistics team to schedule appointments and assist drivers with delivery-related questions or issues.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree (Preferred) in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related area.
• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Two years of logistics/transportation experience with basic knowledge of dispatch operations.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize and multi-task.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel and Word).
• Basic knowledge of DOT regulations and familiarity with transportation systems; Cadec experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

• May be required to lift and/or move 20 pounds.
• Frequently required to sit/stand/walk.
• Subject to a typical office environment with low to moderate noise levels, but may be high in distribution settings.

Pay

$19.00 - $25.00 depending on experience.
