Ryder is hiring a Part Time Truck Driver in Flint, MI, offering weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a driving career with local routes and daily home time.
Pay
- $905 average per week
- Hourly Pay: $25.61 per hour + $6.16 Health & Welfare Stipend
- 28 hours per week average
- Paid training
Schedule
- Friday–Saturday
- Start Time: 3:00 AM – 5:00 AM
Route & Equipment
- Deliver solo within a 150-mile radius of Flint, MI
- Home daily
- Tractor Type: Box Trucks & Sprinter Vans
- Trailer Type: Dry Van 16'–26'
- Equipment: Rolling Carts
- Freight: Touch – US Mail
- Ryder provides training on all equipment
- Trucks are 36 months or newer with 24/7 roadside maintenance and nationwide fueling at over 800 locations

Requirements
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Minimum of 6 months of verifiable driving experience
- Pass a Ryder Drug Test
- Verifiable driving experience in like equipment:
- 6 months experience in the past 3 years, OR
- 2 years' experience within the last 5 years, OR
- 5 years' experience within the last 10 years
- Pass a Ryder Background and Motor Vehicle check, including drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
- Pass a DOT physical
- Pass a Ryder road test
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies, and/or procedures
Additional USPS Requirements
- Secondary background screen – Federal Level 2 conducted by the USPS to allow access to premises and/or provide contractual services
- Selective Service registration for males born after December 31, 1959, unless legally exempt
Responsibilities
- Safely drive a vehicle within regulations and compliance with safety standards
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards
- Maintain accurate records
- Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading as required by the customer
- Complete other tasks as assigned
