Position Summary

Penske Truck Leasing seeks applicants for the position of Hiker (Vehicle Transporter/Truck Driver). This role involves delivering and returning Penske trucks to locations and customers. It is suitable for CDL Class B or Class A drivers seeking part-time work. The shift is flexible and the position requires a clean driving record and valid CDL.

Major Responsibilities

Follow safety procedures while driving to destinations
Check vehicles for mechanical and safety issues
Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payments
Report vehicle defects, accidents, and other issues to the location manager
Assist in the service department as needed
Perform other projects and tasks as assigned

Qualifications

2 years of driving experience
2 years of a clean DMV record
Valid Class B CDL (Class A preferred)
Licensed in the U.S. and domiciled in the state of residence
Ability to read and follow written instructions
Customer service and organizational skills
A positive attitude

About the Role

This is a casual/part-time truck driving job with flexible scheduling. The position requires a current driver qualification file, including an MVR check, DOT Physical, and Safety Performance History request. The role is regulated by the DOT and requires compliance with federal laws and company policies. The associate must be able to accept responsibility for their own and others' safety.
