Truck Driver - Class A - Penske Logistics

Immediate opportunity for full-time Class A CDL Truck Drivers. Earn $33 per hour plus overtime after 40 hours, with an average W2 income of $80,000.

About the role

Drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks equipped with best-in-class specs for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. Deliver bakery and food products to stores with 2 layovers per week.

Schedule

• Two runs per week: Sunday to Monday and Wednesday to Thursday
• Days off: Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday
• 5 PM dispatch

Responsibilities

• Deliver products safely and on time
• Represent Penske and client brands while driving branded trucks and wearing client uniforms
• Build relationships with accounts and provide excellent customer service
• Comply with all federal and state laws, regulations, and safety standards
• Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (required by federal law)
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must pass background investigation and drug screening

Physical Requirements

• Ability to see and hear, with specific vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg, occasionally up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
