Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics

About the role

Local, home-daily Class A CDL Truck Driver position delivering medical supplies to clinics and hospitals. Average 10 to 15 stops per week. Late-model Penske trucks with best-in-class comfort specs and in-cab safety cameras.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medical supplies to clinics and hospitals
• Maintain professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers
• Follow all federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules
• Operate vehicle safely and maintain regular, predictable attendance

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required; must be domiciled and licensed in the U.S.
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• English language proficiency (49 C.F.R. 391.11(b)(2))
• Pass background investigation and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and accept responsibility for safety

Pay

$30.87 per hour with overtime after 40 hours in a week. Shift differential available.

Schedule

5-day work week: Monday through Friday. Dispatch time ranges between 2am to 3am.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, sitting, and use of hands to touch, handle, and feel
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle and rear cargo area
