Truck Driver - CDL Class A - Penske Logistics

Average annual pay: $80,000 to $90,000 plus a $3,000 annual safety bonus and up to $5,000 per referral in driver referral bonuses.

About the role

You will drive late-model Penske Truck Leasing trucks with best-in-class specs designed for comfort, equipped with inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras to ensure safety. This position involves delivering palletized groceries to local stores while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor with customers.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL required
• Applicants must be domiciled in the U.S. and licensed in their state of residence
• Currently hold, or ability to obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
• 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years, or 2 years in the last 5 years
• 3-year DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job
• English language proficiency (required for federal compliance)
• Ability to work the required schedule and at the specified location
• Must complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (including past employment, education, and criminal history), and drug screening
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• Must accept responsibility for personal safety and the safety of others

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to see and hear; specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Frequent movement, standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent use of hands to touch, handle, and feel, and to reach with hands and arms
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs/23 kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs/45 kg
• Ability to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area
